Terms

Last updated 27 August 2026.

Who you are agreeing with

The Guild is not yet incorporated. Until it is, this site is operated by its founder, Leonard Chow, in Singapore, and these terms are an agreement with him. When the company is registered it will take over this agreement and this page will name it. These terms are governed by Singapore law.

It is free, and it stays free to appear

There is no joining fee, no membership fee and no listing fee. There is no fee to rank higher, because ranking is not for sale — the register is ordered by publication date and by nothing else. If we ever show something because it was paid for, the page will say so on its face. Competing firms are admitted on identical terms.

Your work stays yours

You keep copyright in everything you post. By posting you give the Guild a non-exclusive licence to display it on this site and to keep it in the moderation record. That licence lasts as long as the work is published, plus the permanent record described in the privacy page.

A work is credited to the firm you were at when you posted it, and that credit is frozen. Leaving a firm does not move your past projects to your new one, and does not take them from your old one. This is deliberate, it is enforced by the database, and it cannot be edited afterwards by you, by your employer, or by us.

Only post what you have the right to post

Post photographs of work you actually did, or that was actually done to your home. Do not post other people’s photographs. Do not upload HDB floor plans — they are HDB’s copyright and are sold through HDB’s own e-service. Any drawing you attach must carry a declared basis for posting it, and we may ask you to justify it.

Do not publish another person’s address or unit number. Your own is your business.

What the badges mean, and do not mean

Homeowner confirmed
The homeowner recorded on that project confirmed it. Only they can rate it — the database refuses a rating from anyone else.
Invoice seen
A moderator saw an invoice for that job. It is not a statement about whether the price was fair.
DRC listed
A moderator looked the firm up in HDB’s Directory of Renovation Contractors on a stated date. HDB does not endorse or guarantee the work of listed contractors, and neither do we. It is a fact about registration, nothing more.

The Guild is not a party to any contract between you and a designer, contractor or supplier, and does not supervise, warrant or insure any work you find here. Check the contractor yourself before you sign anything — every listing links to HDB’s directory for exactly that purpose.

Moderation

Everything is reviewed before it appears. We may reject or remove a work, and we will give a reason. We may suspend an account that posts work it did not do, publishes someone else’s address, or manufactures ratings. Every one of those decisions is written to a log that we cannot edit or delete, so it can be shown later — including when the decision was about our own operator.

The building data

Block ages, flat types, floor areas and building footprints come from data.gov.sg and OneMap under the Singapore Open Data Licence. Sun exposure is computed from official building footprints and is geometry only — it knows nothing of cloud, curtains, or the block opposite. Broadband figures are what visitors measured, not what anyone promises. None of it is advice; check anything you intend to rely on.

This site is not affiliated with, and not endorsed by, HDB or any government agency.

Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for loss arising from your use of it or from any dealing with a member you found through it. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
