The Guild

An open register of completed renovation work in Singapore, run by a body with no stake in which member you choose.

Who we are

Singapore Interior Design Guild · 新加坡室内设计公会 — a working name, and the entity is not yet incorporated. It will be a Singapore private limited company, separate from every member firm, including the one whose owner started it. There is no UEN to show yet; this page will carry it the day there is one. Nothing here claims a registration that does not exist.

What we do

One thing. We keep a register of completed renovation projects at real Singapore addresses, next to the public facts about those buildings — the year built, the flat sizes, which way the windows face and when the sun reaches them, the broadband residents there actually measure.

A project on the register can be confirmed by the homeowner who lived through it, and rated only by them. That is enforced by the database, not by a policy: a rating written by anyone other than the confirmed homeowner on that specific project is refused before it is stored. It is the reason the register is worth reading at all.

Who it is for

Homeowners
Look up your own block. See what has been done in it, by whom, and what the person who paid for it said afterwards.
Designers
Your record follows you, not your employer. A project stays credited to the firm you were at when you posted it — so moving firms takes your portfolio with you, and leaves your old firm’s history intact.
Firms
Every review under your name came from a homeowner the Guild confirmed. You can see how many people looked you up and how many clicked through to reach you.

How to join

Free. No joining fee, no membership fee, no listing fee. Sign in with Google or Apple and post a project. Competing firms are welcome and are treated identically — a register that admitted only its operator’s friends would be worth nothing to a homeowner, which is the only reader who matters.

A firm registers its own entry and declares its HDB Directory of Renovation Contractors reference. A moderator then looks that reference up in HDB’s own directory before any HDB project can be published under the firm. What a firm claims and what was verified are stored as two separate things, and both are shown.

How it pays for itself

Advertising, and nothing else. There is no fee to appear, no fee to rank higher, and no paid placement in the register — it is ordered by publication date and by nothing else. Anything paid for will say so on its face.

HDB does not endorse or guarantee the work of contractors in its directory, and neither does an entry here. A DRC listing is a fact about registration, not a recommendation.
